NEW FOR 2025!

Join us at Bowood with Marea Brown, to learn the art of Indian block printing and create your own beautiful designs using a wide range of hand carved blocks.  Print either a table runner or a set of napkins or any three other items of your choice (tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, aprons, scarves) which you can take home on the day.  You will first have a demonstration and then you will practise on old fabric until you are ready to create your own designs. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron!

There will be a few printing blocks and blank textiles available to buy at the end for anyone who is interested in pursuing this craft at home.  Entry into Bowood House & Gardens is included and you are free to wander either before or after your session when we are open.

AM Session

10:05 – 12:30      Workshop & Practical Session (2.5hrs)
12:30                   Workshop ends, guests depart and wander House & Gardens

PM Session
10:30 – 14:00      Guests free to wander House & Gardens
13:30 – 14:00      Guest arrival at Admissions
14:00 – 14:05      Bowood Introduction/Welcome
14:05 – 16:30      Workshop & Practical Session (2.5hrs)
16:30                   Workshop ends, guests depart

Cost: £65.00 per person Eary Bird until 1st March, £69.50 after this date. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Workshops take place within the Gardeners' Bothy at Bowood House & Gardens

Season Ticket Holders should purchase their tickets from the Members Ticket Area.
