New for 2025! We are pleased to introduce Dr. Lizzie Rogers, our Curator here at Bowood. She is a writer and historian specialising in women’s history and historic houses.
She is delighted to be hosting her first talk at Bowood with a focus on Jane Austen and the Georgian period. Her passion and insight into the lives of young women, their ideas and feelings are sure to entertain and educate during this talk. Bowood House was built in the Georgian Period and Jane Austen was once a tenant of the 2nd Marquess of Lansdowne in Southampton so book onto this talk and learn more.
