Silver Jewellery Workshop
Come and join the artist and creator Marianne Donohoe for this delightful Silver Jewellery Making Workshop. This taster workshop aims to allow everyone the chance to make their own unique piece of fine silver jewellery and does not require any previous skills.
During this three hour beginners course you will be taught how to make your own two pieces of jewellery using various techniques. During your class you will learn what silver clay is, how to handle, texture, cut and shape it, how to store your clay and rehydrate it, how to refine your pieces and fire them and finally how to polish your finished silver pieces.
All materials will be supplied to produce two pieces of fine silver jewellery, depending on the size you make. If you require extra clay or ear wires, jump rings or chains, you can buy them on the day. You are welcome to bring your own and fit them to your pieces to complete them.
