Kids Activities with Mud & Guts
Let's Go into the Woods! This hugely popular outdoor kids’ activity with Mud & Guts is back for 2026. Experience den building, fire lighting, game playing and exploring nature in the great outdoors.
Mud & Guts reconnects children with the joy of being outside, immersing them in the natural world. This experience provides an exhilarating, educational alternative to days whiled away in front of a screen.
These outdoor adventures run for 3 hours either in the morning or afternoon. Given the nature of this activity there will be a mandatory parental/guardian consent form for the child to be able take part in the activity. Whilst parental/guardian consent will be required, children can be left with the fully trained/qualified Instructors of Mud & Guts on the day. Check out their website: https://mudandguts.co.uk/about/
Price £22.50 per child
Available for 6 years up to 10 year olds.
This price includes free entry into Bowood House & Gardens for the participating child booked onto Mud & Guts on the same day they participate. This free entry is only available on the day at our Admissions; it cannot be booked in advance online.
It is the parent/guardian(s) responsibility to ensure that the child is capable of participating in the activity, all consent forms are filled accurately in at the booking stage including medical, physical, or behavioural conditions or dietary requirements, along with emergency contact information.

13:30 - 16:30 Activity begins and the fun starts
General Notes:
- 6 - 10 year olds.
- Each activity will last for around 3 hours, and group size will be limited to 16 children per session (managed by 2 instructors) for safety reasons.
- Parental/Guardian consent will be required in advance, but children may be left with the Instructors.
- Advance booking is required as places are limited.
- Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and activities will go ahead whatever the weather unless there is a risk to life.
- Located close to the Visitors Car Park/Dedicated Drop Off Point.
- Free entry into House & Gardens for the participating child on the day of the activity.
Mud & Guts was established by Jamie King who has a passion for the natural world. He set up the business to create positive, fun and magical experiences for children to connect within the environment and each other with a focus on engaging children through education.
Season Ticket Holders should purchase their tickets from the Members Ticket Area; these are offered on limited basis and may sell out at the discounted rate.
