Introducing Willow for Sculpture
Learn about this great sustainable material with professional artist Julie Starks in this workshop. You will be shown how to create simple shapes, weave and master the art of willow 'ties' resulting - giving you some willow pieces to take home with you - think rustic trays, circles, spheres; the foundations skills to create sculptures! Julie will explain how to purchase, prepare and plant willow and bring book recommendations to inspire you to better understand willow.
No prior experience is necessary. All materials are included in the workshop cost, but we suggest you bring, secateurs, apron and gloves if you are allergic to any plant materials. After the workshop you are welcome to wander around the House & Gardens.

10:00 - Workshop Begins & Housekeeping
10:05 - Introduction to Topic
11:00 - Practical Session
12:30 - Break for Lunch (lunch not included)
14:00 - Course completes
Cost: £68.00 per person. (Maximum 12 people per session)
