Bowood House & Gardens Ticket Portal

Design and make a beautiful bespoke drum or cone lampshade for your home in this afternoon workshop.  Aimée Alice Payton will share her tricks and tips to help you create a stunning shade with a professional finish. There will be a selection of fabric to choose from, but please feel free to bring your own*.

On the day you will learn how to make the perfect lampshade, ensuring the fabric you choose suits your design and discuss any specific ideas.  You will be guided through the steps to create a bespoke drum or cone shape lampshade, cutting the fabric and backing for your specific design.

All materials are included and Aimee Alice Payton will provide guidance during the workshop.  The lampshades will be 25cm at the base and can be made to fit a table lamp or a ceiling light. 

Entry into Bowood House & Gardens is included and you are welcome to wander before your workshop during our opening hours on the day.

Note:  *Not all fabrics are suitable so please contact us in advance so that suitability can be discussed.

Workshops take place within the Gardeners' Bothy at Bowood House & Gardens.

Season Ticket Holders should purchase their tickets from the Members Ticket Area.
