We hope you feel inspired to make the gardens, house and parkland your learning space for the day. You can join a morning session, an afternoon session, or both.

Our opening hours are 10.30 to 17.30. You’re welcome to arrive before your booked session, but please make sure to meet us in the correct location at the time of your session. Full details will be included in your confirmation email.

Theme for the day: History and Heritage

Morning session (Walled Garden) - 11.00 – 12.30

Join us in the beautiful historic Walled Garden for a gentle wander, as we share some of the garden’s history and look for the first signs of spring emerging around us. We’ll finish by planting seeds to take home, so you can continue the experience long after the day ends.

Afternoon session (Bowood House) - 13.30 – 15.00

Join us for an afternoon House tour with our curator, exploring the stories behind the rooms and uncovering secrets connected to our annual exhibition; ‘Secrets, Spies and the American Revolution’. Along the way, enjoy simple activities designed to bring history to life for young historians.
